Meet our President and CEO

Jan Kerchner, CEO, founded The College Blueprint, LLC, with the mission of providing a comprehensive career guidance and college preparation program for middle, high school and college students. She had a mission and a vision which has transformed into a vibrant college counseling practice with offices in Orange County, California and Washington, D.C. Jan has worked with hundreds of students and their parents to find the right match for their student’s college career and helped prepare them for the transition to college life.   Believing students are “adults in training”, Jan and the staff at The College Blueprint, LLC, assist students with discovering who they really are, identifying what they are interested in and what is it they want to get out of life, providing them with the foundation to choose a career and major. She has visited hundreds of colleges and universities across the United States and has helped many students and parents navigate the college planning and admissions process. College Blueprintstudents have been admitted to a broad range of colleges across the country including the Ivies, small private liberal arts colleges, major public research universities, military academies and specialty colleges.

Jan holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science from the College of Health and Human Development of the Pennsylvania State University where she concentrated her studies in adolescent development.  She obtained her certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. She absolutely loves working with teenagers and their parents and looks forward to coming to the office every single day.
