Deanna C. Rule
Deanna C. Rule received her B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies (PEIS) from the University of California, Berkeley and her M.S. in Educational Psychology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also obtained her Certificate in College Counseling from the University of California, Los Angeles. As a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Credentialed Master Practitioner and Strong Interest Inventory ® Certified Practitioner, Deanna has merged her education and publications with her interest in individual development.
Deanna approaches college counseling with her specialization in assessment. She believes that through detailed feedback students are able to identify their unique strengths. More specifically, her objective is to foster and enhance self-reflection. Deanna’s principle goal as a College Counselor at The College Blueprint is to empower students during the college application process and motivate them to thrive in a setting that is an overall “best fit”. As a result, she challenges her students to think carefully about their strengths and aspirations, to set realistic and achievable goals, and to reflect on ways they can maximize their strengths.
Deanna’s son, Nicholas, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and is now employed in the business sector. Her daughter, Natalie, is a journalism student and track athlete at NYU. Deanna is also a reader for the University of California, Berkeley Alumni Leadership Award. Most importantly, Deanna is an Associate Member of the prestigious Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
